Actions for Week of February 9, 2020

The GOP is too scared to remove Trump. So we will. Let's evict them all.

Indivisible is setting up new programs to recruit more people, mobilize in nine key states, get out the vote, and bombard those Senators right where they live.

Text to Flip the Senate

Topple Mitch and his cronies! Here's how. Reach out to voters in KY, AZ, CO, NC and more via text messaging. They won't see your number. They will see a message urging them to rally, join local Indivisible groups, and flip the Senate blue.

Lunch with the League: with NYC Public Advocate Jumaane Williams
12 PM - 2 PM
NY Society for Ethical Culture
2 West 64th Street

Hear from Jumaane D Williams, our Public Advocate, who is next in line to the mayor. His job? To help us with infrastructure issues, housing equity, and environmental problems, and the fair application of justice. He was influential in eliminating "stop and frisk" and establishing an inspector general's office for the NYPD.

Thursday, February 13
*** MAKE NEW YORK COUNT - INDIVISIBLE UES MONTHLY MEETING***
7:30-9:00 PM
Universalist Unitarian Church of All Souls
1175 Lexington Avneue (at 80th Atreet)

What's so important about the census? It's our once-in-a-decade opportunity to get the money, the representation, and the influence NY deserves.

It only works if we count everybody! We lose $2745 per missed person. That adds up. Especially in a city of over 8 million people.

Joli Golden, from the US Dept. of Commerce, joins us to explain how this works, and how we can help (and get paid for it too).

Friday, February 14
Markers for Democracy Community Lunch and Raffle
9:30 AM -12 PM
Le Pain Quotidien
65th and Lex, downstairs farm table (different address this time)

Reach out to voters in pivotal states. Urge them to vote, register to vote by mail, and remind them of local elections.

Then, show a little love to LPQ on Valentine's Day to thank them for hosting postcard parties every week. Chat about activism, make some new friends, and build community. And, you might win something. Plus, the food is good. Get the waffles and the hot chocolate.
