Actions for Week of March 29, 2020
1. Insist on Safe and Fair Elections
We can't let this crisis derail our elections, but we also want to make sure those elections are safe. Call your Senators and Representatives (and pass this on to friends and family in other states) and tell them to suppor the Natural Disaster and Emergency Ballot Act.
Senator Chuck Schumer: (212) 486-4430
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand: (212) 688-6262
Representative Carolyn Maloney: (212) 860-0606
2. Join the Payback Project
Moscow Mitch will try anything to stay in power. That's why it's vital that we take back the Senate. The more people texitng, donating, and participating the better. Text PAYBACK to 977-79 and join the Payback Project right now.
3. Four Freedoms Online with Rep. Maloney
If you missed the Four Freedom online call with Carolyn Maloney, Ben Kallos, and more, you can watch the recording at the link.
4. New York's Primaries Moved
All of New York’s primary elections will now be on June 23.
That means presidential, congressional, and local elections will now be held on that date, instead of separately. This technically means NY may lose delegates, due to DNC rules. No word yet on whether that will be changed.
5. Act now to ensure New Yorkers get the health care and support they need
New York's current budget process is currently even more opaque than usual. No single budget has been released and Governor Cuomo wants cuts that will hurt the most vulnerable New Yorkers. They are apparently going along with his plan to cut $2 billion from Medicaid. In the middle of a pandemic!
Email your state reps asking for budget justice and to preserve Medicaid funding during this critical time. Here are their email addresses:

We met with a representative from Tedra Cobb's campaign several weeks ago. Tedra is running against the perfectly awful Elise Stafanik, a Trump toady. They have a dialing tool that will allow us to call voters in that district and talk to them directly. Direct contact is the best way to persuade people. Sign up at the appropriate link for the shift you want.
